i dont know what im doing!

ok so this blog thing isn't really working out like i thought....a couple reasons....

I still haven't really put a lot of effort into playing on Full Tilt. I played a couple more 90 man KOs. took down a $6 and $12 one randomly one night and since then haven't played much. I kinda got bored with full ring NL and started studying up on PLO. Who knows what I'll actually stick with :/

I've been trying to play more right now on Stars bc I'm in a break even stretch and I'm trying to volume myself out of it!

I joined a 180 man team comp on 2+2 which is perfect motivation for me this month! 21 players 7 three player teams. $250 per player. highest team profit 9th-31st. winner take all. I think 1st will be around $5k split between the team.

heres a list of all of the players in order by profit for ALL 180s for this year. obv the number indicates which team they're on. I'm on team 6 and i think overall we have the highest team avg. It seems everybody wants to bet on team 7 to win this since they have PortlyPig (obv beast) but I still like our chances!

This starts tomorrow. Perfect time to get out of this break even slump! gogogogogooooo!

I can't make up my mind!

Ok so this is why I only put $100 on Full Tilt....

I've already changed my mind about what I'm going to play on there three times!

I went from saying I was going to grind the 90 man KOs, then I thought I might start playing the HU super turbos, and now of course I'm thinking of playing full ring cash games...

I'm actually more pumped about playing cash then anything and it definitely makes more sense than any of the other ideas. By the time I log on to FTP to play the traffic is pretty low and if you're trying to grind MTT SNGs that can be rather frustrating....since the main goal is VOLUME!

So thats one reason I wanted to play cash....another is that I really don't want to play 180s forever and the next logical step is to either jump into the big field MTTs or play cash games....since I know how brutal the variance can be for a 180 player field tournament, I definitely don't want to have to deal with the variance of bigger field touranments....uggghhh

So now I think I'm going to start at 10 NL (.5/.10) and just work my way up. I'm going to start with $300 (30 buy ins). I've been watching full ring cash game videos on Deuces Cracked and Drag The Bar for the last 2 days so hopefully I can get my mind out of tourney mode.

About to start my first session now....lets hope I can stick to this!

Updates!

I'll start with some PokerStars stuff...

Tonight I just squeaked into the $5-$15 180 man leader board. 20th right now but these $3 rebuy 180s are sooooooo soft that I'll be moving up really soon!

Now on to some Full Tilt stuff...

My plan to start playing the $1 90 man KOs isn't going to work it seems, so I decided to start with the $3s. There's a couple reasons...the pay outs are different (the $1s pay top 18 and $3s+ pay top 9) and when I play after 10pm the $1s take FOREVER to fill. The $3s load pretty fast and even though I haven't gotten in a really long session yet, I can tell I'm going to like them!

Anyway, here are the results so far after 27 games...

Here we go!

So here's the plan...

So I want to learn how to beat the 90 man KOs on Full Tilt Poker and start adding them to my daily schedule. Well now that RainmanPoker.net has started its series on them, its probably the perfect time!

My idea was to start at the lowest buy-in they have for these and work my way up. So I'm going to start at the $1.10's with 100 buy-ins ($110). I'm going to update this regularly with my progress...so hopefully I don't get too lazy!

I did something similar to this September of last year...except i started with $10. At that point I had busted so many rolls online that I wanted to build up from a very small amount so that when I did get a decent roll I would care about it more than I have in the past! And believe me...I NEVER want to go back to playing $.10 tournaments! lol

I started with the $.10 360 man SNGs.

I played 225 of those in 4 days and made $40. After that my roll was up to $50 so I started playing the $1.10 45 mans.

I played the $1.10s for a couple days until my roll was up to $200, then started mixing in the $3.25 45 mans.

After the 25th I played a mix of $3 and $6 45s for the rest of the month...

So here's the total for all of September...

Played 911 games and turned $10 into $400!

I played the same mix of 45s all through October as well. I remember running bad at the beginning of the month and then catching fire towards the end.

The beginning of November my roll was around $1k so I started mixing the $6 and $12 45s and ran pretty good. I think close to the middle of the month (close to my birthday!) I started mixing in some of the $27 45s and the $12 180s. I think I ran super hot in the $27s and got destroyed in the 180s! I remember that very well because I ended up getting coaching for the 180s lol.

After I had a couple coaching sessions with shen888 in December I dropped the 45s and started playing just 180s.

I'll have more updates soon on my progress with the 90 man KOs...

and probably some other boring life stuff as well...
